Yolanda’s Story:
Finding her Calling
Yolanda Massey founded Hooked on Books Childcare a few years after she experienced a life-altering car accident. During her recovery, Yolanda found joy in taking care of and teaching her nieces and nephews practical life skills. She taught them key school preparedness before they began kindergarten and was able to witness how engaging children in practical activities and encouraging their natural curiosity sparked their love for learning that would effect their future success. She discovered a deep passion for nurturing young minds that would change the trajectory of her life.
Yolanda founded Hooked On Books Childcare Center. It’s a place where children can thrive and receive the care and guidance that combines learning with play and nutritious meals. She cultivates an environment where children feel safe, loved, and empowered to explore the world around them.
That was nearly twenty years ago. Since then, Yolanda has expanded her certifications, expertise, and business to dedicate her life to caring for children ages six weeks to five years. Now, a seasoned childcare expert, Yolanda has a proven track record of preparing children with the essential knowledge and skills they need to feel comfortable and ready to enter school.
